FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: WATER RESCUE TRAINING

The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District has been invited to participate in water rescue training with the Navy’s SH-60 helicopters operated by the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center from NAS Fallon on Lake Tahoe on June 5^th and 6^th. The training is geared towards over-water rescue and survival operations utilizing helicopters to carry out several predetermined water rescue scenarios.

With the assistance from the United States Coast Guard (USCG) to provide operational and tactical support, the training will take place near the Lake Forest USCG pier.

MEDIA INVITATION: Media is invited to the June 6^th 10 a.m. training session at the USCG pier located at Lake Forest, Tahoe City, CA - 2500 Lake Forest Rd, Tahoe City, CA 96145, to learn about the flight operations, interagency collaboration, and training and, an opportunity to speak with agency personnel/interviews.
