Community Outreach
Since 1978, the Community Safety & Education Team has grown from one program to over thirty. In 1979, the fire district's first official campaign was the "Learn Not to Burn" program, a comprehensive fire safety education curriculum for school children established by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Continuing to grow, change, and evolve with our community's needs to provide the highest quality of education in fire safety and prevention, our team has diversified its reach into many programs and market segments.
Working primarily with our local schools and service clubs, we strive to reach every child every school year and make informative and educational presentations to our service clubs on various topics such as Fire Safety, Emergency Medical Services, Defensible Space, Fuels Management, and CPR/AED classes.
