For Fire Prevention Week, October 3 to 9, the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District joins the NFPA campaign on the sounds of smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, explaining what beeps and chirps mean and when alarms must be replaced.

The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District offers flu vaccinations to people age 8 and older starting September 28 at the main station, 875 Tanager Street. Walk-ins are welcome and each vaccine is $40, with no insurance accepted.
