Washoe County Emergency Management, with the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District and partners, will run an evacuation drill in the Second Creek area of Incline Village on August 16, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Residents may receive test alerts.

The Tahoe Fire & Fuels Team is set to continue prescribed fire operations, with the USDA Forest Service burning piles at Spring Creek near South Lake Tahoe starting July 10, 2023. Ignitions begin around 10 a.m. and smoke will be present.
