Widespread prescribed fires continue at Lake Tahoe - conditions and weather permitting

The Tahoe Fire and Fuels Team plans to continue prescribed fire operations across the Lake Tahoe Basin this week, weather permitting. Smoke may be present in the basin and surrounding areas.

The Tahoe Fire & Fuels Team is scheduled to continue prescribed fire operations across the Lake Tahoe Basin, aided by recent precipitation. Forest Service crews completed burning piles on 160 acres near Watson Creek on the North Shore.
